Yes. If you hire The Law Office of Matthew A. Marner, I, Matthew A. Marner, will be your attorney. I will be the one fighting for you! Unlike many of the big law firms around Phoenix (you’ve seen the billboards), when you hire me you won’t actually end up with an inexperienced associate attorney or brand new law school graduate.
IF I HIRE YOU, ARE YOU ACTUALLY GOING TO REPRESENT ME?
The best advice I can give to a potential client who is shopping around for an attorney is truly this: “You get what you pay for.” I’ve seen it time and time again to the detriment of defendants. When you are fighting for your freedom, your family, and your livelihood, the cheapest quote is rarely your best option. It is far more likely to be your worst. Without first speaking to you, it is impossible for me to give you a quote. Once, I hear from you about the case, I can give an accurate and fair quote. For example, a case with numerous high-level felony charges will obviously cost more than a case for a traffic ticket. My rates for representation are comparable to others who provide high-quality criminal defense representation in the Phoenix metro area. My prices are neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but reflect my particular skill level, specific experience, reputation for quality and thoroughness, and level of attention to my clients. And, if I like you, I may just give you a discount. (The perks of being one’s own boss.)Yes. If you hire The Law Office of Matthew A. Marner, I, Matthew A. Marner, will be your attorney. WHAT DO YOU CHARGE FOR MY TYPE OF CASE?
Yes. Once we discuss your case and I give you a quote for representation, I can work to offer payment plans tailored to an individual’s financial situation.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS LIKE THE OTHER LAWYERS FROM ADVERTISEMENTS I’VE SEEN?
I accept payment by cash, credit card, cashier’s check, or money order.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
No attorney can promise that your case will be dismissed. If an attorney has guaranteed this, you should run the other way as fast as you can. Each case is different: different facts, different people, different location, different motivations, different court, different judge, and different prosecutor. What I promise you, and every client, is that I am an experienced and award-winning criminal defense attorney with a track record of success and innovation, that other criminal defense and DUI attorneys regularly call on me for my ideas and strategies for their cases, that I have won cases that seemed impossible, and that I care about my clients, their families, and their lives. I promise you that the other side will never outwork me on your case.
IF I HIRE YOU, ARE YOU GOING TO GET MY CASE DISMISSED?
You will have an experienced, aggressive defense attorney standing between you and the State. The first goal of any quality defense attorney is to go after the dismissal of charges. I take the time to review the entire case and look for evidence to suppress, witnesses to attack, and winning arguments to make on behalf of my clients. I look at mitigating evidence and get to know your personal story to present to the prosecution and the court to reduce charges or obtain a beneficial outcome. I consult experts and investigators to search for problems with cases. Many of my clients are facing situations where they are threatened with jail or prison, probation, fines, loss of driver’s license, and loss of their livelihood and families. But this is why you seek out and hire a fighter who will go to war for you against the prosecutor and the police.
WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME?
We can communicate in person or via phone, email, or text. I am flexible in my approach and my previous clients will tell you that I am easy to reach and very responsive to their needs. We will meet at court, at my office, or wherever we need to in order to fight your case.
